Celebrate the Power of Friendship, Dreams, and the Extraordinary in the Ordinary This Weekend at Legacy Theatre’s The Princess and the Pauper

BRANFORD, CT June 19, 2024 – The Legacy Theatre continues their 2024 Family Series this coming Saturday with The Princess and the Pauper. This fun production for children and families plays at Legacy at 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM on Saturday, June 22. The 12:00 PM performance will also be livestreamed for audiences to enjoy from the comfort of their home. 


Witness the journey of two extraordinary girls from different worlds who discover that they may have more in common than they thought! Princess Penelope, destined to rule a kingdom, and Pauper Paisley, with dreams of becoming a pop star, cross paths in an unexpected encounter in The Princess and the Pauper. In this heartwarming tale, find out if the princess discovers that her aspirations extend beyond the confines of royalty, and if the pauper finds her true potential as a shining pop star. Join us for a delightful world premiere that celebrates the power of friendship, dreams, and the extraordinary in the ordinary. Adapted from the novel, The Prince and the Pauper, by Mark Twain, The Princess and the Pauper is a Legacy Theatre production with book, music, and lyrics by Chelsea Dacey. 


The production is set to star Chelsea Dacey (A Princess Tea, The Tales of Christopher Robin and Winnie-the-Pooh) and Delaney Nicole (A Princess Tea) in the titular roles, with Lisa DeAngelis (A Princess Tea), Nick Fetherston (The Play That Goes Wrong), and Rick Williams (STARZ Stripes and Quarries) rounding out the cast.
