On Monday, Nov. 25, Goodspeed Musicals kicks off their Annual Food Drive to benefit the East Haddam Food Bank. Goodspeed will be collecting donations during Thanksgiving week in the hopes that they will have another record-breaking year for participation. The need is even greater this year as the number of households served by the East Haddam Food Bank has grown once again to record levels.
Goodspeed Musicals is offering a special buy one ticket, get one free to patrons who bring a generous donation of nonperishable foods to the November 25th 2:00 p.m. or 7:30 p.m. performances of A Christmas Story at The Goodspeed in East Haddam.
The East Haddam Food Bank is in need of nonperishable food items, such as soups, pastas, canned fruits and vegetables, and cereals.
During Thanksgiving week, performances of A Christmas Story will take place on Monday, Nov. 25, at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.; Friday, Nov. 29, at 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.; Saturday, Nov. 30, at 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.; and Sunday, Dec. 1, at 2:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Donations will be accepted in the lobby of The Goodspeed Nov. 25 through Dec. 1.
