In 1980, a coalition of area arts organizations and artists came together with the goals of sponsoring and encouraging Shoreline arts activities, serving as an umbrella organization for existing arts groups, and building a regional arts center.  Since that time, Shoreline Arts Alliance has continued to build arts awareness and audience participation througout the region by helping to build a strong base of arts organizations known as Member Organizations.

For more than 35 years, Shoreline Arts Alliance has served these Member Organizations as a local arts agency, providing collaborative, promotional, and professional development opportunities. Shoreline Arts Alliance also serves thousands of performing and creative artists annually, from aspiring students to professionals, through a variety of arts programs and awards.
